Interview With Travel With Me 24 x 7

Hello please introduce yourself and your blog to our reader.

I started blogging 1.5 years back. As I love traveling and many friends seek ideas and tips from me regarding traveling and therefore an idea propped into my mind that I should try to spread my ideas on travel through blogging.

What do you blog about? Any particular niche within travel?

I blog on Travel and there is not a particular niche. But I focus more on Itineraries, planner and tips. Many branded tourist sites provides major information but sometimes something is lacking like what are other options, itinerary for specific people or number of days.  I focus on giving useful tips which are sometimes neglected.

How did you decide onn the name for your blog?

The name of my blog is Travel With Me 24 x 7 and as I love traveling and want to do it 24 x7. I chose my blog name which suits me.  Also I chose the name which is simple and understood by all basic English speaking people. I don’t want to include philosophical words as sometimes many people don’t understand those words.

Start writing your experience, share how it could be more better. The problem you face should be faced by readers by giving them proper advice. People will love your candid reviews and advice and soon they will follow your blog.

What are some of the highs and lows of travel blogging?

The highs of Travel Blogging is many tourism brands, hotel brands and other tourism businesses serve you properly as they are afraid that any wrong comment will affect their business.

The lows are that while traveling also you are doing business, not a leisure trip. When you see or experience a thing then your mind starts working as a blogger.

Do you have ay funny or strange travel experiences to share?

We were booking tickets for Dubai’s nearby destination for 4 to 5 days and the airplane tickets were coming very much on high price. Suddenly a deal popped up on New York which was equally reasonable and in same rate. Within an hour and without any planned I booked for it.  The funniest part is next day we have fly for a 16 to 18 hours of flight to a very far destination and too unprepared with any of information, staying details and what we will do there.  But everything sorted out slowly and slowly while I was on airport lounge, booking all stays. And believe me it was the most beautiful trip of my life, as it was the unplanned one.

Was there a place you visited that did not live up to your expectations & why.

I can say that whenever, I travel I do not keep so many expectations about that place.  For me reaching to that place like the journey is more important. So I could not find any place below expectations. Some places might be over rated for me but I loved the journey or path reaching to it.  I loved the problems and joys whichever I encountered during that travel.

Have you encountered any travel mishaps or scary moments if so what happened?

This is many years back when I was traveling as a kid with my family from Gujarat(India) to Kerala via Goa on a road trip. We hired a taxi for 20 days and he would take us to all through the beautiful Konkan scenic drive covering 3 to 4 states of India.  We started our journey and all went well till 6 days. When we finished our Goa tour and moved ahead towards Mangalore covering Jog Falls, the scary part began.

The driver of our car created one story about the car is not working properly and he has to mend it and wanted to go. So we parked our car and took a stay at Highway hotels called motels.  There we checked-in and gave some money to him for repairing work. Now the driver went for repair and never came back.  We were few kilometers behind Mangalore near Udupi( birthplace of Dosa) and staying in a highway hotel with basic amenities.  The best part of that hotel was it was surrounded by paddy fields and coconut trees. For 3 to 4 days we stayed there and searching for the driver but he was not found and then we decided two things- that either we go back home by catching train or plane from nearest airport/station or we continue further by hiring or catching something else. But as our family is bitten by Travel worm, we further continued and fulfilled our trip beautifully.

So the moral of the story – Complete whatever you have started with though there are roadblocks in front of you.  The end is always beautiful but you must stop by in between obstacles.

Do you have any recommendations for cities and beach places that you have visited and loved? What was good about these places?

Mykonos – An island with positive and vibrant vibes. Windy and sunny islands which looks like a dream. Read more on https://travelwithme247blog.com/10-best-things-to-do-in-mykonos/

Georgia(country) – Loved the hospitable and friendliness of people there. I added one more family member during my visit to Georgia.

Bavarian Alps (Germany) – If you love mountains and snow then this is the place for you. Pristine environment and beautiful nature would surely capture your mind.

Melbourne(Australia) – Very livable city and also there is the perfect blend of nature with the modern city. I love the climate and vibrant cultural vibes of this city.

Kerala (India) – If you love greenery then this is the place for you.  Green and green everywhere surrounded with water.

Where do you see your travel blog in two years?

Would love to collaborate with Tourism boards and some sustainable eco-friendly Tourism companies.  Looking to promote tourist destinations which are hidden secrets or not many people know about it.

I agree that is it good to look for lesser-known tourist attractions. We often look at google maps and visit anything in close range of us. We have found some great hidden gems that way

I too would highly recommend visiting Melbourne (but I’m a bit biased). I always love finding lesser known places to visit. Tourist spots are nice but I feel you get a deeper understanding of the area when you avoid the familiar.

So many adventures and some great recommendations for places to visit. I love the term ‘seasonal traveller’, just wish I could do it.
